What you’ll need
- Two iPhones (or any two iPhones — an old one works great as the baby unit)
- iOS 16.7 or later — that old iPhone 8 in your drawer? It works.
- Same WiFi network — both devices need to be on the same home WiFi
- Permissions — EarHorn will ask for microphone access (to listen for sound) and local network access (to connect your devices). Grant both for full functionality.
Quick setup
- Download EarHorn on both devices from the App Store
- Choose roles — tap “Baby” on the nursery phone, “Parent” on yours
- Pair with a code — the baby device shows a 6-character code; enter it on the parent device
- Start monitoring — EarHorn listens and alerts you when sound is detected
Setup takes under a minute. Once paired, your devices reconnect automatically.
